While we expect that any high-performer’s absence from their team will be felt, this Fellowship is a part of Huna Totem’s commitment to developing talent internally. Preparing for succession is a core part of any leader’s responsibility, and we will work with you and your team to prepare for your absence before you embark on the Fellowship.
The Fellowship is designed to prepare participants for expanded leadership opportunities within Huna Totem. Upon successful completion, Fellows may:
- Be promoted into a management role.
- Assume a new position within another Huna Totem business unit.
- Take on increased leadership responsibilities within their current organization.
Placement decisions are based on the Fellow’s strengths, organizational needs, and available opportunities.
You will continue to receive your current pay and benefits during the Fellowship.
Successful applicants typically demonstrate:
- Strong leadership and executive management potential
- Initiative, curiosity, and a willingness to learn
- Excellent work ethic
- Good judgment
- Adaptability
- Interest in serving Huna Totem over the long term
- Readiness to take on new challenges and responsibilities
Applicants are evaluated based on their leadership potential, performance, demonstrated commitment to Huna Totem, readiness for increased responsibility, and alignment with the goals of the Fellowship.
The Fellowship is intentionally small and selective. We aim to select one highly qualified Fellow per year. The standards of the Fellowship are rigorous and it is possible that in some years no Fellow will be chosen.
Prospective Fellows should submit applications by the deadline of August 10.
A select number of applicants will be invited for interviews with a panel of Huna Totem’s leaders.
